the fool in the land of mirrors

There was and there was not a a fool. Don't get me wrong, they were not the kind of fool, which in common language might be used to make a person feel bad. They were mainly naive. They often did not think about why they chose to do certain things. Like carrying a sleeping person - a heavy unconscious body - up a hill. The fool thought they were doing a grand, heroic thing. That it was not the sleeping person's fault that they chose to sleep over knowing. Or willing to know.  Where there is a will there is a way - thought the fool, but not with regards to anyone else but themselves. How self-involved the fool was! To think that one can carry another into willingness to act.  Meanwhile, the sleeping body dreamt of a powerful horse with wings. But the powerful horse was trying to wake them up to tell them that the kind of power they wished for is already here. Wake up.
